There aren't too many decent FRISAs left at the moment, you could try the usual comparison sites, such as Moneyfacts - http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/savings/bestbuys/fixed-rates-isa.aspx
M&S are offering 1 to 3 years fixed from 5% for 1 year/4.5% for 2 & 3 year terms - http://www6.marksandspencer.com/pages/default.asp?PageId=FRS&Product=IS0 -
Other than a fixed rate are the any good variable account and are these a good idea at the moment0

Can't help, as I rarely bother with variable rate ISAs (unless the indicators are that rates may be on the increase - unlike now) - again, check out the comparison sites, as above, moneyfacts, moneysupermarket and moneymadeclear, etc.Other than a fixed rate are the any good variable account and are these a good idea at the moment0 -
Vinny,
You could do a lot worse than re-invest in the Halifax 1 year FR ISA - if your ISA tops £30k once it matures, you could get 5.75%, otherwise even the 5.25% for amounts below £30k is top of a not very exciting heap at present.
But could look a whole lot better later this month when the variable rates catch up with the base rate drop, especially if it falls again as predicted in December 08. Anything over 5% will look pretty good by then."Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm" (Sir Winston Churchill)0 -
Try to avoid a variable rate as it could be very low very soon.I have a fixed rate ISA with approx Gbp29K incl this years interest this matures Monday 24.Nov with Halifax
