Just a thought, but it was Chinese New year last week, and if going anything by my local Chinese take-a-way, it closes down for nearly a week, so maybe the website sellers and postal service are on a bit of a new year hangover!

    as i say...just a thought.

If you buy from this site then please be aware that they will be fakes...good quality copies, but fakes nonetheless!

I've bought loads of D9 dual layer discs whilst in China, all professionally printed, but with cardboard sleeves and case inserts tucked inside - the idea is that you get these home and then put them into a 'proper' hard DVD case. I gather sites like Taomart are putting them into DVD cases ready for you.

Anyway for what it's worth...these copies retail at around 80p or less in China; you can even test each one individually on an instore home cinema system to ensure you are getting value for money!!!!

If the discs were genuine Asian versions produced for the Hong Kong market by the major manufacturers holding copyright, then they would be Region 3 PAL encoded. The fact that many of the TV series being sold have never been shown in Hong Kong or China (media censorship still applies) makes one wonder if they were really intended for an Asian domestic market...

A little while ago someone posted a link to a DVD retailer who is based in Asia (Hong Kong I think). They sell DVDs at rediculously low prices and charge by weight for delivery. I had them saved in my 'favourites' on IE but have somehow deleted the link :(

Can anyone remind me of their name? I have searched Google and MSE but can't find them

    Any help appreciated!!
If its the one I saw, when I checked the site I got the impression that they were a pirate operation. Why? They listed the "quality" of the films, ie 85% quality, and I dont think it means how good the film is. I've seen one or two of these before.

The link I saw was in a thread I posted under 'cheap dvds from morrisons' in grabbit.
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.
