Question is about customs charges. If the person that fills in the customs forms, puts it as a gift and puts value under £18 then you will not get an customs charges, Otherwise you will pay 17.5% and also £4 royal mail fee.
    Kind Regards

i've used taomart lots and i've had no problems. the trick is to order several items at once as that helps reduce the effect of the heavy postage costs.

the james bond set is really great. i've hellraiser and the star wars set too.

    excellent site highly recommended.

I have used them, for cheap Lost 24 shows, not uk 12 part 1 vol 1, then vol2, came up by someone wanting the full Lost 1st series, was posted here on another thread. You have pgilc1 to thank.

I also got Harry Potter bundle and American Pie bundle. They use Parcelpost tracking and it takes a week from Shanghai. Their English is a little strange. They do not seem to charge postage by weight, just a "basic" $25 for Western Europe, and an extra $5 per extra item, so better to bulk buy. I didnt as I was not sure, but will be getting more sets in the future. They come as brand new Asian retail packs, region 3 NTSC, so you need to make your dvd player region 0 ie multiregion. Waiting for lost series two as it has just finished in the States and DVD should be out there in Jan.

    HTHs dc

PS no customs charges for moi.

It says the 20 disc James Bond set is 820 grams and the 37 disc Sopranos is 1300 grams. So 32 would be 1100 - 1150 I guess depending on the boxing.

  • I bought some DVD boxsets of Midsomer Murders last year as a gift for someone collecting them. I also got caught for customs charges.

I have only found one retailer in the UK that does DVD box sets of the series because they are produced as Region 1. Hence - you can get them with no problem from the US/Canada etc... but unless you can buy them for under £18 you may as well not bother.

I managed to buy one set on ebay once which had reasonable postage - but now I'm stuck on getting Set 6.

I've just checked all the links earlier in this thread to no avail too!
