Sounds like OP has been receiving some spam.
If you ever get email from your bank just delete it. If they really need to get in touch they'll phone you.
I don't think they are spam - they fit perfectly with this description, from http://www.nationwide.co.uk/security/secure-online-banking/e-mail-security.htm :From time to time we may e-mail you with details of our products and services that we feel may be of interest to you.
These e-mails will come from Nationwide@nationwidebuildingsociety-email.co.uk and will always display your postcode at the top and bottom of the e-mail so you can be sure that it is genuine.
Personally, I am aware of the risks of links, so did just delete them, but many other people are not as aware of online security as you and I.0 -
