Faster Payments = Damp Squib??

We use two different banks for work, Barclays send every payment fast ,however for Bank of Scotland you have to tick a box if you want the payment to be sent via fast payment and the cheeky sods charge £5 for every transaction !!

That's just a part of their standard business tariff, then. It's not really being cheeky, it's just their price for providing the service. They're not obliged to.

HSBC allow up to the full £10,000 to be moved to any bank account which accepts faster payments - regardless of if it is a HSBC sort code or not..

I wonder which bank currently caps their faster payments to £250?

Faster payments is a joke. Total lack of reliability with LTSB transfers. RBS/NatWest do allow them, but you have to use the wretched card reader to add or amend payees. Abbey and others still no idea when they will bring it in. Boo! What really annoys me is when they quote the millions of FPS transactions going through a day. What about all the others still crawling through under BACS?
