Regulary saving for the long term

I'm looking at saving around £25-£50 a month and was wondering the best account/location to do this. I'm looking for long term on this so access is not so much a problem, I already take advantage of the year at 8% at HSBC.
Would an ISA best suit me or something else?
All thoughts welcome and thanks in advance

A lot will depend on your tax position. If you are able to have your savings paid gross i.e. without paying the 20% savings tax rate then a monthly savings account is fine. If you do pay tax then a cash mini isa will obviously pay your interest tax free ( within the limits of isa`s ). Dont forget if your a non tax payer to complete the declaration form with the bank or B.S. to get it paid gross. Either way look at moneysupermaket, put your details in to get the best rate for your circumstances.

That link will work when moneysupermarket have fixed their server problem....
Here is another source for regular saver info - one or two other reasonable ones besdies the Halifax
The other option could be A&L with their 10% regular saver, but you must also have your current account with them to get it0 -
Link now working thanks again0
