Kaupthing Edge/ING - New transfers out working?

Options
Hi,

Didn't want to add to the ongoing thread about the old transactions, but basically have some money still in the Kaupthing Edge account that has now transferred to ING. Having now received the email about them lowering the interest, and with a big ol' tax bill due I want to really remove the money and have it someone that's a lot easier and closer to hand.

Basically just wanted a bit of advice from those who have transfered money out of there recently via BACS and whether this seems to all be working ok?

Wishing luck to those still with money stuck in the ether.

Transferred my remaining balance out last week leaving £1 (details on another thread), arrived in my linked account in 3 working days via BACS, no problems at all. Only moved it out because the rate had dropped.

Once interest is made up next month, I'll move the remainder and close entirely.

I have also removed a big wedge due to rate cut.

    Initiated transfer on Monday evening.
Money in my linked account this morning so the system is working OK.
However the transaction date in my linked account is shown as yesterday but it wasnt there when I checked yesterday afternoon!

I've done two transfers out recently, no problem.
  • I have transferred my instant access account, but left a tiny amount in to keep it open for now. They did it by CHAPS and it took 4 days.
Haven't broken the fixed rate ones.
  • Was initially very concerned but money arrived at HSBC via BACS ok,from my instant access account.
Not sure best place to put it now though.
  • Thanks very much everybody ^^

My fears are put a bit at ease now - trying to find a good savings account myself - may just stick it in A&L instant access until I need to pay the tax man - it'll all go then anyway so don't need to worry too much about lost interest!!

    :D
