I'm a bit upset that £600 has been paid into my babies account
(shares account)

and now its worth £350.

i want to transfer the money into a new child trust savings account.

which is the highest interest paying savings account?

Leave the remaining funds where they are, forget about them, and hope they recover over the next 17+ years.

Try Halifax Children's Regular Saver that pays 10% on £10-£100 a month.

I paid my initial voucher into an F&C CTF when it came, and am just leaving it to do whatever over the next 17 yrs..... I then pay £10pm plus any cash gifts into the Halifax Childrens Regular Saver, as suggested above..... DS now has more savings than I do! It was really to open, and you get a passbook for the linked acc that they 'sweep' the money into at the end of the year...
