the online analyser bit will tell you whats bad

I just used the Online Scanner of this program (great program by the way!) and it came up with a load of Unknowns for software which is good like Epson Printer Monitor, MSN Messenger etc. I presume it would come up with Bad/Dangerous for bad software, but just a word of warning that not everything the Online Analyzer picks up as Unknown should be removed.

Thanks for your help everyone, I was at my Brother house and needed the help quickly (at home now). We ran the Ewido software and it seems to have solved the problem. My brother had installed Anti-virus software, but after the problem occured. I have now also activated Parental Controls to restrict some website access.

As a quick 2 minute job I would at least download and run CWShredder in addition to the good advice in the above posts :

May be a bit lengthy but at least it is very thorough !

In addition make sure you are up to date with all the Windows Security updates or else you will just get reinfected !
