Back from the dogs. Feet are killing me but had a great laugh!
Great to see my mate who is my greyhound night out friend, even more so that he told me he has met a luvverly lady. Very happy for him and hopefully I'll get to meet her over Christmas (she lives in Preston - they met on a singles holiday in Italy!)"Stay Wonky":D

Snaggles - nah, she wouldn't mix with the great British unwashed. one of the team (who is lovely) was there - we had never met but I introduced myself as I had coincidentally emailed her to say where I work is going to donate the secret santa money rather than do gifts and she said 'ohhhh, you used to work at xxx, didn't you?!!'..........my reputation precedes me it seems :rotfl:
OH called just as I was in the taxi on the way there- fishing for what I was doing, where I was going etc 'so, you have gone out tonight?' . I've always said where I'm going, but he never volunteers the same information..........so I was ...........'vague'.............;)
NAGH - it is - everyone is friendly and its relaxed and you don't have to spend a lot of money. you end up talking to strangers about their good or bad luck. It's just good fun. It doesn't cost much to sponsor a race - maybe I should sponsor the MSE DFW Burlesque Babe race - or - we could have a meet here and sponsor one between us!!"Stay Wonky":D

A DFW greyhound meet, that would be fantastic. You are right though, it can be a very cheap night.I'm the only gay in this forum

they have this tiny little chip board podium to put the dog on and then the owners are given tiny little cups by the sponsor - it's quite funny really but sweet in another way!
Oh -and - I backed a dog because of a DFW'ers name..........it came nowhere......... :rotfl:
No name, no pack drill...........SALLYX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl: !!"Stay Wonky":D

shame I missed that Bob, I love watching programmes about TV from years ago. I like the social aspects of what TV was representing at the time.

I was just thinking about that BB as tv never got in the way, IYKWIM, and life was easier...suppose it was because of the optimism of youth..but i really enjoyed myself..the world was opening up, foreign hols all of that really.LOL i am reliving the past, but i also have the dubious honour of being in Ibiza when it was trendy..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
