  • chucky, I won't be contacting the Inland Revenue fraud hotline because I'm not like that but someone else might. So be careful what you post here in future, even if you do delete it afterwards

This will come as welcome news for young families who want to buy their own homes.

I wonder if the likelyhood is that the news would be welcomed more by proffessional landlords rather than young families.

Times have changed and credit is harder to get so the question in the short term is who can get the available credit first. Young families or Professional Landlords

The wheels have completely fallen off the BTL business. This will come as welcome news for young families who want to buy their own homes.

Won't be welcome news for young families not in a position to buy their own homes. The expansion of the lettings market gave them more choice and kept a downward pressure on rents.

People with money. However prices are way too high. I've got money, but I'm not paying current prices. Let the professionals buy now if they so please, and if they can.

Banks aren't going to be more inclined to lend to professionals if all they have is wealth which is illiquid, with values plummetting, but the debts being real.

You can laugh how FTBs need a stonking deposit, but that deposit becomes more
    managable the more prices crash.

So, a historic credit-crunch, worst economic outlook for 60 years (Darling), an once-in-a-100 year severe economic downturn (Greeenspan), banks failing, stricter lending/borrowing criteria, and mix in unemployment, fear of unemployment and pay-cuts. The perfect crash. All the HPI and more of the last 11 years... to be wiped out into nothing but memories.

having money now and earning so little interest isn't the best position to be in.

i haven't seen anyone laughing on this thread - just the laughing at the Fatpig's usual garbage posts.

You might not be willing to report Chucky for tax evasion but I certainly would! And the immigration service would be very interested also.

He may think he can post anonymously on here but he can be traced through his IP address

please be very careful because libel can be a very dangerous game to play; it can be taking into consideration up to one year after it originally took place and would also involve the owners of this forum as it would be a big problem for them too.

IP mapping wouldn't be too hard - but it would be made much easier as those that it came from are probably the same person.

i have nothing to hide as don't deal with illegal immigrants and my business is run correctly.
