Help needed - Consolidated Financial insurance?

Hi there
I have been visiting the site for months now and find it very very useful for many situations.
Now i need to ask a question myself.
My father passed away on Boxing day this (aged 54) year and unfortunately hadn't made a will or left us with any instructions what to do with his finances.
After a great deal of work over the past few days, I have managed to sort everything out apart from "Consolidated Financial Insurance" which appears on his bank statement each month.
I have an appointment at the bank but not until late January and the bank won't tell mum or I anything about the above.
We are keen to find out what this may be so that we can get this last item sorted.
Does anyone have any idea what it may be or any advice as to who I can contact to find out?
I have googled it but nothing direct appears?
Anyone?
Cheers

It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

Consolidated Marine & General use that direct debit name.
They issue general insurance policies (rather than life and pensions). The parent company is GE Insurance.
CM&G did tie up with a couple of banks in selling accident, sickness & unemployment cover and accident insurance.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
