Humax are saying end of November for release.0

Yes you are right forgot to add that part0

Just got my box fitted today.
£292 for the box
£23 for Quad LNB/twin shotgun cable/cable clips
£40 fitting
Very easy to set up, just plug into spare hdmi socket, enter postcode in the box and search for channels. Guys that fitted it said they have fitted sky hd and said is much better on this box BBC HD than on sky 1080i
Looking forward to watching Little Dorrit tonight in glorious HD0 -
Well I just got the Humax HD Receiver, not the PVR one, and I am to be honest not over the moon with the channel line up, not as good as the Freeview line up.
HD Channels are a waste of time, only on for a few hours a day, then repeated over and over it seems.
I honestly cannot see any difference in HD picture quality to SD on my 42" Plasma TV.0 -
It looks fab on mine in HD on Samsung 42" LCD, in other screen resolutions none HD its looks on par with my Humax 9200
Granted HD is part time. Haven't check ITV HD yet as I believe you have to select red button in ITV and none HD at mo due to crap tv during the day
Only criticism I do have is when I turn it on it wont automatically switch to the hdmi, although my other pvr (SD) and DVD player (hdmi) do
The HD is full 1080i and you can select the resolution pressing the V+ button on the remote, I believe that is the most you can get in HD on freesat or sky although there is a higher resolution 1080p for blue ray etc
I know freeview was cack when it first came out and to be fair freesat is only 6+ months old hopefully in months to come it will be even better and it doesn't cost me sweet fanny adams once I bought the box0 -
Obviously my Plasma must be better at showing SD material than your LCD, it really does show a superb SD picture, that clearly makes the HD look less different I suppose.
I have now managed to download the free channels from Sky on to the Humax, so that has given more choice.0 -
I havent tried the none freesat channels yet might give it a bash later
I think it depends on the content too, that silly detective thing on BBC Jessica Fletcher looks awful on mine just now but I know it was fine at 1pm when I watched the news0 -
Hi all,
I am watching this thread with great interest. I am seriously considering ditching my sky+ (not HD) and getting Freesat, and the Humax HD PVR.
Already got a new plasma, and its awaiting its first HD signal.
