Hi
My Dad has approx £50000 to save in an account, where is the best rate with zero risk?
There is no need for instant access so could be a notice account up to 1 year.
Thanks in advance

Hi Trudie15, Would your dad consider a 12 month fixed bond? The rate would be guaranteed for a year and in this day and age a sensible choice. With rates changing daily the best thing to do would be to look at Martins best rate savings accounts/bonds. It might be worth saving just a little less than £50K in any one institution for full 100% security to account for the interest which will be accrued, although the post office give that guarantee but the rates are pretty poor.Hope this helps, just a thought.0
