I wanna few ideas to remember my sister's dog

Hi All,
My sister had to have her beloved dog, Shebs put to sleep earlier this year, she was only young and it's left my sister devastated.
She has Sheb's ashes at home in a nice box. I was wondering if there's anything fairly reasonable I can do to mark Sheb's life. Does anyone have any good ideas? I did think of a star but I don't know if my sister would appreciate that. I was also hoping if I could buy a tree on a reserve somewhere and have it dedicated to Shebs.
My sister lives in Yorkshire so it would be great if it was somewhere close to her that she could sit and think or even take her children who miss Shebs also.
Thanks everyone

Hello siren13577
I'll move your thread to the 'Pets & Pet Care' board.

What about a lovely tree for in her garden?
Or a photo in a beautiful frame?
Or even a painting of her dog?
My friend, who is very fond of cats sponsored a pen at the cats protection league for a year in memory of a friend of his who died.0 -

My bootiful pooch (see avvy) is buried in the garden, and the day she died I went up to the moors near the farm where she was born, and where she and I spent many happy hours (I used to help out on the farm in exchange for horse rides), and found a large flat stone, which I intend to get engraved in her memory... still haven't got around to it though

I was also planning to plant a nice tree or something over her grave, but I am just such a crap gardener that I have given up on that, as it would make me distraught if I planted one and then it died...
Agree that a portrait would be nice - I have an oil painting of pooch which was commissioned by my family for my 18th
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

My dear Dog was buried in Mum and Dad's garden , as we were about to move house. Dad managed to engrave a paving stone to go over her and they have a bench and arbour in that corner. I often like to pop down the garden and remember her.
I also have her puppy picture as the wallpaper on my computer.

How about a memorial tree that helps dogs currently in need?

This rescue saves so many dogs including my very own Poppy who last year was left at the roadside when a small puppy0 -
How about framing the rainbow bridge poem with a photo of her?
Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
