I want to buy a digital photo frame - any suggestions?

I would like to buy a digital photo frame as a Christmas present. Ideally I don't want to spend any more than £50, but I don't know what sort of specs to expect for that price. I have seen a few cheapy ones online, but I'm more after 'value for money' than 'cheapest thing possible'. Not sure if this is relevant, but the gift is going to be for a Mac user.
As a starting point, here's a 7" one from Firebox. Is that the sort of thing I should expect for £50 or could I do better?
Any advice gratefully received.:j
PS If £50 isn't enough to get something half decent, please do just tell me.

Saw this in Tesco last night - higher resolution and only £40!

Not sure if it is any good though...0 -
whilst the phillps looks the more attractive unit style wise, I'd go for more resolution every time

In that case there is no point in linking you to an old thread of mine HERE, Opps I just did, although the principle is still sound, I'mnot aware of suitable mac software to do the job0 -
Have a look on pricedrop.tv - they had a decent one the other day but i was too slow.....you can buy it now without having to bid if you choose too.'Normal' is a dryer setting.0

Thanks for all of your input so far. I'm looking at the Jessops Digital LCD Frame 8" Hi-Resolution with clock suggested in the other thread. With a 25% discount code, it comes to £52.49. What do you think of this one?
Also, I couldn't find any mention of it being PC/Mac compatible.
The one suggested from Argos specifically says it works with Mac OS. 0 -
