Can I get FREE calls between the same provider

Does anyone know a cheap call provider where they offer free calls if two people are with the same company.

So my Wife can gab away to her Mum for as long (60min) as they want for FREE:rotfl:

Like TALKTALK 2 TALKTALK (had a bad experience with them)

Many Thanks

JOE

Most calls providsers will sell you an 'inclusive' calls package which will give you 'free' calls of up to an hour to UK 01/02/03 numbers. Note the ' marks though - they're not free, you'd pay for them in the cost of the package.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

http://www.firsttelecom.com/ and www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk still offer free/inclusive calls to other customers. Note : UW charge a membership fee of £1.76 a month to belong as well as the line rental and call costs.

Post office homephone gives you free calls 24/7 to other customers. (Plus all other calls evenings and all weekends - and at the weekends they give you free calls to mobiles and free international calls to 20 destinations).

If you both join, one should do it first via quidco - (£9.25), then refer the other direct to the post office (£10 each credit to your accounts)

Apart from this monthly membership fee, (which is from £1.76 to £3), they also surcharge you extra (£1/month) if you have broadband which is not supplied by them, plus you must spend at least £1 a month on calls (otherwise they round up your calls to the minimum of £1/month).

And all their charges are for direct debit customers. If you want to pay using any other method there is a 10% surcharge added to the bill.

As Heinz says, any "free" calls are paid for in whatever package you choose.

If you make very few other calls, another option in the Christian Aid phone service shown below (£9.99 line rental, free calls to all other Christian Aid phone customers). No connection fee for chargeable calls.

There is only the one price - £10.95/month - includes all the free calls mentioned above. They charge the same no matter how you pay (dd, card etc). (No minimum contract)

The £10.95 is this ontop of my BT £11.00 per month as well, or will the Post Office take over my Line as well?

Yes, it's for your line rental. All the free calls are included in the line rental (ie the £10.95).
  • So this could work out as a good deal for me then,

Wife calls her mum about 6 million times a day and vice versa, so if i am currently with BT £11.00 Per month (Line Rental )and Tiscali for calls (Stupid price). If I pay £10.95 to post office and then get MIL to join I will get £10 Refer a friend and only pay £10.95 permonth for line rental and basic package.

    Have I got this right.
