Peter Kay dvd rip off.

Bought the 'new' Peter Kay dvd Live at the Manchester Arena for Christmas but its got the same material as Live at the Bolton Albert hall .The 'new' dvd is advertised as a 'Special Farewell Performance' but is the same as the other dvd.
I read in yesterdays Daily Express that a lot of people have complained about it but that a spokeswoman for Kay declined to comment.Has anyone else noticed this and what can I do to get a refund?

I noticed it as soon as I saw it in the shop. I'm sure it mentions that its from the Mum Wants a Bungalow tour on the box. Although I do think its a bit crafty trying to sell the same tour in a different location.
  • I got it also and noticed that too , well hes peeved off a big fan by allowing it.

I bought it today at Woolies for £7.99, absolute bargain.

It may not be his fault. The publishers probably bought the DVD rights to the show, so he would have no say in how they package and sell the material. In the music industry the artists usually have no control over how many 'greatest hits' albums their record company brings out with the same songs on it.
Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here! :D
  • my sister complained of this. i think many many people are !!!!!!.

Maybe it's just me who thinks all DVDs are a rip off. I've never bought one.

All they are to me are expensive cupboard fillers.

Did not bother buying this DVD as I noticed it said it was from the mum wants a bungalow tour and had an idea it would be nearly the same set as the previous DVD from the tour.

I suppose if you have not opened the DVD you should get a refund but loads of shops don't refund DDV's that have been taken out of the seal as they are that easy to duplicate

Hopefully the Amazon customer reviews system will help Peter Kay fans who read the reviews to avoid being ripped off:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000B8TJ4O/qid=1136512806/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/026-0815791-5810031

The DVD has received some really bad reviews because of the repeated material, which has been advertised as a 'Special Farewell Performance' - that might be technically true (it was the last performance of the tour and Kay undoubtedly bid the audience farewell) but it wasn't 'special' or original!

Been coming across this same complaint on many, many forums...

I wonder if those responsible are acknowledging this increasingly unhappy situation?

P.S. I feel I have to ask; what is the "annoying Mr Bee taxi-cab bit?"
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."
