Saturday gig ticket missing in post

My son ordered a ticket from ticketline a few months ago, the gig is on Saturday, and it seems after emailing ticketline to find it's whereabouts has gone missing in the post. They have said they will reissue the ticket on the day of the gig if we can bring identification. The problems we have is, this was bought using his grandads visa electron card which he no longer has, So it looks like he will miss this gig and loose the £40 plus it cost. Does anyone know where we stand with this
many thanks

Try phoning and explaining the situation.
If it was bought in his name , they maybe happy with identification in some form of other way (passport perhaps).
  • Have you got an email confirmation?
    .....

  • Many thanks for taking the time to reply.:) I know I don't have long to try and sort this out with the concert being on Saturday, and I know he really wants to go so will try my best to make sure that happens. The identification they really want is the card used to make the booking. We do have email confirmation, but no passport or driving licience. Seems unfair to miss the gig and lose out on £40 as well.

We've had a similar problem in the past - our card was cloned after we booked the ticket and we had been asked by the card company to destroy it. Although this was booked with a different agency, they did exactly what the above suggested - said can we bring photo ID to the venue with the original confirmation (which we did) and got the tickets fine.

This won't be the first or last time this has happened with any agency, so they ought to have a policy in place for it.

Incidentally at another concert we were at, we saw the people who had tickets that had been intercepted booted out when the other people turned up, so places like Wembley seem to know the score too...
