Overdraft charges

I have recently gone 35 pounds over my overdraft limit for various reasons and there is no way I can pay this back for 2 weeks. I know this is my fault but there was no other way. The bank (Lloyds TSB) are saying that they will be charging 15 pounds per day up to a maximum of 150 pounds per month, which I think is ludicrous and completely unfair. They were horrible on the telephone and just demanded I pay it back immediately. Are these charges lawful? And is there anything I can do because I'm a little worried that this will get out of hand.
Thanks for any help.
Steven.

The court case to decide whether or not these charges are lawful is yet to be finally decided. Until then yes they can continue to charge you so it is probably worth begging or borrowing the money to cover the overdrawn amount meanwhile.
Once the case has been decided then hopefully you will be able to reclaim your charges.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The charges are, as of now, lawful. Your best bet is to borrow some money off a relative or something to pay them back ASAP, otherwise the charges will keep racking up.0
