Premium Bonds - Beating the odds?

I've had 500 premium bonds for 4 years.
Martin's caclulator suggests the following likely outcomes:
Win £0................36.8%
Win £50 or more....63.2%
Almost twice as likely to win £50 or more than winning nothing but I beat the odds and won nothing. In the meantime I have, of course, missed out on the interest that I could have earned (circa £100).
Anybody else 'beating the odds'?

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.

I think the odds are beating you in this case. Beating the odds would occur if you won £50,000.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Premium Bonds are funny things. I win on average 3x £50 per year (which funnily enough works out as the exact amount of interest i'd be getting in my 6% ISA!) but my sister who held the same amount of bonds won 1x £50 in the past...well I can't even remember how long it's been. More than 4 years I'd say.
So I beat the odds against me. Since the decrease in prizes though, I expect to win a lot less frequently. :rolleyes:0 -
most people will do worse than the average, a few will do better, even fewer will do alot better0

Well... 36 people in 100 (with £500) are losing in the same way as you
