Virgin Media's V-Box £30.00

Between Dec'08 & Jan'09 Virgin Media will be reducing there V-Box from £75.00 to £30.00.
The V-Box has a built in hard drive which will allow you to record two programs at the same time while you are watching a third channel :rotfl:

Current offer is £75 and ends on the 30th Nov....so watch the space although I very much doubt they'll drop to £30

Is this the V+ Box????????? i called them yesterday and they told me box is ree:j except i have to pay £150 installation for one box or £75 installation of i also take a regular V Box:mad: ....not at all happy we have been NTL ? Virgin customers for telephone and BB for about 6 years and yet i cant even get as good a deal as a new customer...would be interested to know where the £30 figure came from.......

i dont think the £30 is for a V+ box, you tried haggling with virgin for a V+ box or threaten to cancel and see what they say

I've been a Virgin Media customer for over years (previously NTL). I have a 10MB broadband line with standard TV paying £29 per month. I've just agreed to add their phone line with talk unlimited package, together with another V+ box (similar to Sky multi room) - watch 1 channel and record 2 more, plus HD, all with their XL TV package. Total cost £46.95 per month and a one off £30 charge for the V+ Box.
So in total:

10 Mb Broadband Cable
Phone line
Talk unlimited Package
Standard V Box with L tv package
V+ Box with XL Package

£46.95 per month & £30 install charge for the box.

I spoke to them again saturday and they werent budging on the £75 installation and they were quoting £42 a month i think it was but that was with only the L TV and Talk unlimited ion the phone Not sure if thats M or L) and the M BBand.....not great so i'm leaving it a while to see what happens - we can 'officially' cancel in feb so if needs be will give notice in Jan and see if they come back with anything different......funny but she also went to great lengths to tell me i shouldnt believe what i read on the internet!!!!!!
