Can someone help . I am trying to burn some tracks to a cd but it is unusually taking ages. I am using windows media player 10 and I am sure there is a way I can change the settings to speed it up. Can someone tell me how and if I can do it mid burn.
or suggest some other reason it is taking such a long time.

Hi
Go to Tools, Options,Devices, highlight your CDWriter then click on Properties. Here you will find Recording, Select A Write Speed, go for fastest. No you could not do this mid burn.
Have you got any other burning software, like Nero/Roxio, you could try.
Hope this helps0 -
I have changed to the fastest but still sooo slow .I don't have any other software installed .I have never had this problem .0

Does it do it with all your music files or just some of your files? Do any messages (for example warnings etc.) appear whilst burning the CD.
Have you tried using a different blank CD as it may be a bad CD.0
