HELP!!! trouble with travel agent

I have been trying to book and hotel room though a travel agent for the last week. I am still waiting for them to confirm the room. I have emailed and telephoned chasing the booking, but to no avail.
No money has exchanged hands.
Am I free to cancel this booking as I am still waiting for them to get back to me?

If no deposit has been paid then surely it's not a booking?
I would cancel it and not worry.If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

they have now changed the hotel they were offering, so i've cancelled with them without problem.
i am never going through an agent again.0
