Sluggish Sky HD Box

Hi,
I got a new Sky HD box back in March, and just recently it's become very sluggish responding to commands from the remote (I have to hold the remote button for several seconds before the box responds - and then sometimes it responds as if I've pressed the button twice). I've changed the batteries in the remote, but that didn't make any difference - and besides the remote works fine with the TV. I've also tried rebooting the box (several times), but again no effect.
Before I call Sky I was just wondering if anyone else had had similar problems.

Recently as in the last few days? They've just done another wonderful software update that comes with the usual raft of p$$poor quality control only Sky can provide and as usual it breaks things. Currently the fan on my box is on flat out 24/7 even on standby which is one of the bugs of this update. Apparently there's an update to fix this update in the next 72hrs or so so if it's still doing it by Monday, give em a ring.0

Happens often on my virgin box. And my dads HD freeview box. I just have to put it on standby for a minute then switch it back on. To clear it little head0

Alas it's been happening for longer than that - at least the last month or so.0
