sorry, I've just found it on couple of mag CDs, so didn't need to ask

... and loaded it - it now blocks over 8000 bad products, compared to about 2500 before - should have done it sooner!

It's "OK" but doesn't fix everything. ;) If fact, it delierately lets through at least two "baddies" Microsoft thinks are OK but which the rest of the anti-spyware community removes.
  • I find Spyware Blaster to be very good. You don't need to run it, just update it and it sits on your desktop. Since I installed that, Ad-Aware and Spybot hardly find anything.

Remember that a lot of programs are cures for spyware - Spyware Blaster is preventitve (sp?) - Prevention is better than cure

woohoo_postingid .... do you also use Spyware Guard and Spybot's "TeaTimer" as additional "real time" prevention? They are good too and, as you say, it all helps.

(Actually, some say SWB does the same thing as Tea Timer but better. Me ... I have both running!)

This is why I don't need something like sandboxie. I have SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard (from the same company) and S&D Teatimer running all the time and apart from a few cookies now and again, nothing is found on this PC by Microsoft AS, Adaware, NoAdware or Spybot S&D. I still run them every couple of weeks but it seems like a waste of time.
