Title says it all really.
My daughter has been using i tunes for a while now & has her library etc all set up to her liking.
My husband has been using WMP with his MP3 but has decided to get an i pod for Xmas, transfer all his stuff & start using i tunes.
Can they have separate accounts? Or if not, can they do separate libraries?

This isn't really an iTunes thing, but a computer thing. What you want to do is possible, but you need to set up seperate accounts for your hubby and daughter. I'll guess that if your daughter already has her iTunes library up and running that it will be easier to give hubby the new one. Goto Control Panel, User Accounts. That should get you started...

If you highlight your itunes icon on your desktop then hold down the up arrow key (shift key) then double click the itunes icon it will open a box with the choices of, quit, choose library or create library, then simply create your new library with your name from there no need to use a new user account,
when you have made a new library you can switch between the two the same way but choose library instead then click on the named library you want to open,
If you have no icon on your desktop then go through start, programs, itunes hold down the up arrow key (shift key)and double click, same box opens
This is the way I do it with mine and my sons libraries, much easier
Let me now if you need any more help
Just found this which may be some to help to you OPEN0 -
Thank you, chappy.
Do you and your son just have the one account for payment, then?
(I'm just thinking, if they get itunes vouchers for Xmas, can they be trusted not to spend each other's credit?!!!)0 -
We don't have an account
Have never paid for any of our music on our ipods0
