Hi my missus has a RBS Royalties account, but doesnt know what she gets for this. She pays £6.95/pcm and has been doing for the last 8 years ! I done know why, when I ask her she just says "Oh I dont know what I get for it, I'll have a look one day"
So, Im like "WHAT???????" I want to know why the bank are taking this money each month and what does she get for it ? does anyone else have this account ? Are we being ripped off and can we claim it back ?
Cheers

There ya go!
Have a look to see if any of it appeals to your wife (or yourself).
The way I used to look at it, was that usually people end up paying roughly £9.99 for mobile phone insurance - why not pay less, and get a lot more benefits for £6.95?
If it doesn't appeal to you guys, she can always downgrade to an Interest Paying Current Account or something along those lines.Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion

If she doesn't know what she gets for it, then she can't be using any of the benefits! I'd cancel it.0

Sorry to hijack/take the op off course a little but does anyone know if this account is easy to get rid off? (aka do you fill in a form and thats it, or do you get dragged off to a room for serious questioning ect
)

TBH i'd have a look at the benefits and see if you'd use any of them and if they'd save you any money if they do take them up straight away, with the RBS royalties you have loads of stuff you could use but dont realise it.0 -
@Shoe girl
I would say it depends on the branch - either way, I'm sure you'll need to speak to someone either out in the banking hall with the Inquiries team, or.....in a room with an advisorAnything that I do say, is strictly my opinion
