in Credit cards
i have a credit card with first direct at 16.9 apr and i want to transfer the balance to a lower or zero rate card. i have exellent credit history however i am currently a fulll time mother so not in paid employment. the applications i have so far tried all require an income. does anyone know if i can do this without current employment? my husband works but this doesnt seem to make a difference as his name is not on the account

Can you not just apply for a card in his name and transfer the balance?0

When I got my credit card many moons ago with Halifax, they asked for the total household income as I had just had our first baby and so was not working. Things may have changed though.
