:rolleyes:YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
IT IS !!!!!!!!My neighbours daughter had planned her wedding for 3 years. Last Saturday was the 'big day' Some of you may have heard/read about the bride who ended up in hospital when the horse pulling the carriage bolted, went at speeds up to 35mph, collided with a car, was heading straight for a railway crossing and nearly went straight into a lorry. She got taken to hospital.......wedding cancelled.
I haven't had the courage to ask if she did have insurance yet!Nicotine Free since 01.08.2010 :j:j:j
Sealed Pot Challenge member 1097 2011 £1024.78 :T
I feel the two are connected0 -
Sorry to hear about your friend. do you know who she had her insurance with?
Was it www.bigdayinsurance.co.uk ?
I have found another website which may be of use to you. Its called www.centralweddings.co.uk - its a local wedding directory for the midlands and staffordshire (where i live) but there are usfull contacts on there.
There is a site on there under bridal - www.cindybelles.co.uk and it has a sale page on it. My dress was in the sale for over £600 LESS than I paid for it.
Hope this info may help you out?
Hope you all have a nice Christmas0 -

I saw that on the news and read about it in the paper - I did see that she has since returned to the hospital. I hope she gets better soon.
Sometimes a horse gets spooked by something and will bolt such is the nature of animals. I feel sure too that the company providing the carriage would be covered by public liability insurance so she would be able to make a claim against them.0 -

do you work for this insurance company by any chance? Funny that all three sites you mention are made by BMWebsites....What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
I would say yes it is worth it – it covers you for a lot of things that could happen (but obviously you don’t want to). For instance just in the last week a girl on another forum I go on has found out that their wedding venue has gone into administration which they would be covered for if they have insurance.
Personally I wouldn’t go with E & L – I have friends who work in insurance and they are notoriously bad for actually paying up when you make a claim.
When we got married we had our insurance through Wedding Plan. Their prices were reasonable they covered for everything we needed them to and have got good reviews too.
The best thing is to look at the different places that offer it – always try and read the actual policy document and the T & C’s before you sign up, they should have a copy available for you to download on their website before you make a purchase. One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170
