I would like to get some bathroom furniture to give my bathroom a fitted look, but have you seen the price of bathroom furniture? It's really expensive for quite small units. I just want a vanity unit and a couple of other bits.
I've been searching the net and can't find anything reasonably priced. Anybody know anywhere or got any ideas?

Ikea has some good value pieces.
We got a three door unit with large winged sink set into it for about £300 recently (the range was cheaper than most) but I can't remember the make, if this is the sort of thing you are thinking of I'll try and look it up.0 -
Are you SURE thats what you want - I know some the stuff looks nice, now, but am not convinced that it'll stay that way!!
All the steam n splashes n talcum powder n mess the bathroom gets in....can't do the units any good - or keep damp out of the cupboards n towels, n stuff!!
We've a HUGE bathroom but keep to only one chrome/glass 3 tier stand, for the ABSOLUTE necesseties!!
& I have to do the cleaning, thats more than enough clutter!!

Oh Ikea. I wish. I'm in N.I. and we don't have it here. I think they are supposed to be opening in Dublin (?) somtime. The only way to get Ikea stuff is take the ferry to Glasgow. I would love to do that.0

I had a very big vanity unit in our last house. We had it made specially when we renovated the house and I miss it. This is a brand new house we are in and it just contained the bathroom suite.
I got one of those chrome thingies for the side of the washbasin and it has all rusted and is awful looking. But I understand what you mean about steam and splashes maybe affecting the wood and I suppose that's why you need special bathroom units. I would hope they are made to withstand spills. The vanity unit we had made in our last house was 25 years old and no problems at all.0 -
I'm not sure what plumbers merchants are in N.I. but they tend to be the cheapest for better quality bathroom furniture, Graham in particular. Roper Rhodes http://www.roperrhodes.co.uk/Retailer_List.asp?region=9 make relatively inexpensive bathroom fittings, Valencia and New England ranges are worth a look.0

Look at Screwfix website. I am not sure about them delivering to NI though. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0

what abt getting a local joiner in and asking for a quote to make and fit one .Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0
