Is Araldite heat resistant?

The knob on my slow cooker lid has broken off and needs gluing.
I used an all-purpose glue which was fine until the lid got hot and the knob came off again.
Will Araldite be heat resistant or will it melt as well? I don;t want to buy a new slow cooker as it is only the knob that has gone - but I do need a knob!
If Araldite is no good what glue would you recommend?

araldite is heat resistant to quite a high heat, it does say on the packet but I can't remember. Most 2 part adhesives should be fine. Any form of expoxy resin will also do the job. Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0
