"After 2 or 3 days, noticed a scratch on the front bumper."

Honest answer now - how long did you spend chcking your new car before accepting it?

    (a) Signed, took the keys and drove off
    (b) Signed, took the keys, had a quick run through of the controls with the dealer, drove off
    (c) Made sure it was the right colour
    (d) A quick whizz round outside
    (e) A quick look outside and inside
    (f) I asked the salesman to leave me for 30 minutes whilst I checked the exterior of the car carefully and went through my preparaed list to ensure everything was OK, had the salesman spend 10-20 minutes with me showing me the controls, under the bonnet, spare wheel etc, signed, took the keys, drove off.

Loads of cars get damaged during transportation, therefore I advise anyone to follow (f) and never pick a car up in the dark or when it's raining.
