Interestingly to contradict a previous posting First Direct told me this morning on the phone that their SVR has not yet been reduced and is still under review. Either the letters people are getting actually relate to trackers or something wierd is going on!Adventure before Dementia!0

Your offset mortgage guarentee's that it will not be above 1% of the BOE base rate, the SVR for FD is still under review and still at 5.5%.0 -

Standard Life is still scratching under the hat. They got this anouncement on their website since the 1.5 cut
"The Bank of England reduced bank base rate to 3.00% on 6th November 2008. As a result, we are reviewing the Standard Life Bank standard variable rate, which is currently 6.59%"
Luckily I have got time to wait as my fixed is runing out in April but I would not be pleased if it would end this month.0 -

As long as you didn't fix it originally and then go onto an SVR you should be on the same offset deal as I am.
