It seem they all come overnight UK timeClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
The adverts have a $ in them so they're US based which is minimum 5 hours behind UK time.
If you click through to the site they are from China, but wherever they come from the muliple posts really spoil the forum. Besides that I don't really see what they gain from it, I can't see anyone making a purchase from them if they post like that, maybe if they took a chance and posted once they might get lucky.0 -
I think it was Tuesday, there was 1 poster with 46 posts of spam, gets a bit of a ba11ache chasing them around the boards, having to wait the30 seconds between posts,
I reported them once just putting the "spam reported" on the threads to save abuse team getting multiple reported posts
(If any one saw the forum board it looked like i was a spammer)
I like davetrousers idea about another level of MSE Forum hierarchy.

Why not just give the BG's the authority/ability to remove mass spammers; they can delete individual threads from their own boards so why not just extend this across the whole MSE forum...
Just an idea... :cool:0 -

You know the spam posts so dont need to look at them so it really doesnt affect me using the site
Good gambling to everyone!
Indeed the spam is minimal and more is deleted without ever being seen by most users.
I'd sooner see a thread for reporting the users who are spamming than people bumping up the spam threads by posting on them accross the boards.
Such as this user...

The easiest way of sorting it, like i said, is to upgrade the forum software to the latest version. You'll see a dramatic change in the amount of spam being signed up/posted on this site.0

I moderate on another forum that uses vBulletin and we are v 3.7.4 yet still get spam bots posting. Registration also requires the typing of a character string but it doesn't stop them. Spam bots are getting more sophisticated and the higher you are in the google rankings the more attractive your site is to the spammers.
Our majority are for world of warcraft based sites.I have a cunning plan!
Proud to be dealing with my debts.0
