Faulty Tumble Drier

The timer on my tumble drier sticks at the same place every cycle-with about 20 minutes left. Any suggestions-engineers might be hard to find in next few days.

i wouldn't leave a tumble dryer unattended personally, well i wouldn't go out and leave it going. wots the make and model number

Wouldn't go out and leave it unattended but it's in a utility room where you cant hear it. Obviously if you forget it is using massive amount of electricity.
Its a Hotpoint Aquarius Reversomatic TL21 if thats enough information

you could buy a timer switch to get around the problem that the applience plugs into

was just gonna say get a timer in the meantime. DONT use wd40. do try taking the timer knob off though and see if it works that way.

daft option but,

you could buy one of thoses timers that plug in the wall, see below. then when you go out you can set it for say 1 hour and it will go off!!!
