Moonlight follows the exploits of tall, dark and handsome Private Detective, Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin) as he solves a host of crimes and supernatural mysteries, whilst continuing to hide his own deadly secret – he is in fact a reluctant vampire himself.
Mick was turned undead when bitten by his beautiful vampire bride, Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon), 60 years ago on their wedding night and has spent the intervening years learning to cope with his deadly affliction.
Whilst struggling against his vampire nature he also uses his sharpened senses to help the living. And, to make matters worse, he’s only gone and broken Vampire Rule Number One and fallen in love with a mortal, a young journalist – Beth Turner (Sophia Myles) who is haunted by dreams of a man who looks like Mick.
