As has been explained you can always check the rate online by putting the first 3 numbers of your account in the box and for Esaver its 5.97 AER, 5.81 gross and 4.65 net, eSaver2 is 6.3 AER, 6.13 gross & 4.9 net.

If you want to transfer money into your eSaver2 do it on the 1st day of the month so you dont lose interest.

Sorry to question it, but are you sure that's right? Are you saying you lose NO interest if you withdrawer on the 1st?

You lose no interest ONLY if you transfer the full balance out of the account for the whole month - the reason being that there is no balance to earn interest on during that month.
  • Already posted this on another thread, but did you know A & L e-saver2 rate is going to drop on Monday 1 Dec to 5%.
I suspect it won't be the only rate drop. Soon there will be no decent rates worth having anywhere.

The new rates are up on the A&L website -

eSaver1 Gross 3.23 - AER 3.28 - net 3.25 I think the reason the net is larger than the gross is due to the .83% bonus.

    eSaver2 Gross 4.89 - AER 5.00 - net 3.91

think I'll will still move funds from Esaver1 to Esaver2 on Monday as it will be quick transfer.

I'm tired of looking for/opening new accounts. Still waiting for Abbey and BM to drop rates.

Yep ta... it's what reminded me to return to the question why their CS told me such a low figure.
