Barclaycard Breathe

in Credit cards
I recently took out a Barclaycard Breathe card as it says on their website that it was offering 0% interest for 12 months for balance transfers. On receipt of the card on the 6th Nov. I had to ring to authenticate it and was told that it was not offering 0% int. for 12 months but 6.9% until the balance was paid, it did offer 0% for12 months on purchases. The lady I spoke with agreed something was wrong when she also checked the website and promised a call back. No call came. Have rung today after waiting a week and no note of this conversation is listed, but was given the same story about the 6.9% balance transfer fee. This is contrary to their advert on their website. Waiting now for another call back. Has anyone else encountered this problem with Barclaycard Breathe. ?

not the same issue but barclay card breathe are a right load of cowboys. they gave me a credit card with a 2 grand limit, then while i was on holiday i got a letter which said they cut my limit to 500 pounds before i had even used the card. therefore not knowing they had cut my limit i had an embarrasing situation away not being able to pay for something.
stear clear of them!!!!!!!!0 -
We just got Barclaycard OnePulse & the 0% introductory period & terms are stated on the back of the Credit Agreement. I would quote that to them & see if it helps.Mortgage #1 Oct 2008: £130,000Mortgage #2 Jun 2010: £60,000Both completely offset: 22/12/20110

I had the exact same thing happen to me today.
I applied for a Barclaycard Breathe mainly for the 0% balance transfer deal.Card arrived today, when I called up to activate and process balance transfer, the call centre guy told me the balance transfer rate was 6.9%!!
Apart from that, they only offered me a paltry credit limit of £1500,and I know I have an excellent credit score!
I wonder what's going on and if they're allowed to get away with this?0 -
I've had no problems with mine. I applied in June, and done a balance transfer as soon as I received the card (0% for 12 months)
They did change the offer a while back, and were offering 12.9% APR, but this has now gone back up to 14.9%. I'm not sure if the purchase/balance transfer rate has now changed though.0 -

Never got a call back from them so rang and was told I could have the 0% transfer for 12 months, but I have to do so before the 6th January, otherwise the offer is rescinded0
