Pre paid Visa Electron card

Can they be used for Ryan air flight booking ? The post office could not give me an answer, I have searched on MSE and also googled it but still not happy with the outcome I have got as it seems a grey area.

Quite easy can I book with pre paid Visa electron card for a Ryan air flight(that has enough funds on the card to pay for the ticket of course). The card would not have a name on it.
I know we have many clever people on MSE who will have the answer :T

I think I've heard that the UK Post Office pre-paid travel money card work fine with Ryanair.

But many other Visa Electron cards do not.. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=15963445#15963445

The Post Office Travel Money Card is a Visa Electron with a Visa Electron logo on it and can be used online.

I haven't used one to make a flight but think there is a fair bit of misinformation flying around about them.

Maybe someone knows whether it works or not and then it could be put up as a sticky?

Indeed, but it's important to note that some Visa Electron cards are not recognised as such, by some websites, unless you select "Visa" (but of course, Ryanair charges unless Visa Electron is selected).
  • I just got a card yesterday and got flights today no problem

3 flights return from Edinburgh to Frankfurt Hahn for 6 pence. Thanks post office and ryanair!!!
