Thanks for letting us know :)

Did you try bread as an eraser for the door and walls?

You could also try lemon juice, but remember to do a test somewhere not noticeable first.

Yes, I tried the bread but it didnt work. It just seemed to slide over the biro without touching it if you know what I mean. We do need to repaint at sometime anyway cos its not been done for ages, so i'l wait till he has finished the 'expressing himself on the walls' stage and paint them then. Biro on the walls isnt really the end of the world anyway is it???

    Oh well. <sigh>

Though I see more ideas have come in - have you tried them all? I'm really interested to find out which one works.

Hm... maybe I should go draw on a wall and try all these for myself :)

Sorry to disappoint you on the bread :( Im convinced that the nail varnish remover will work on the vinyl silk on the walls and the glosswork but ive not got any so cant try it. If you've got some try doing a wee scribble on your door and try it out for us, let us know if it does :D. White spirit would prob work too, but ive none of that either!! Those sort of things make me very ill so I try to keep them out of the house.

Do you have any babywipes? These are excellent for cleaning trainers with, so maybe even if you don't have a baby, you could buy a cheap pack for cleaning purposes :)

If its leather or plastic, rather than porous material, try rubbing it gently with wd40 on a cotton bud. Test an inconspicuous area first though ;)

Would also agree with the previous posters suggestion of babywipes - they seem to get most things off!
  • hairspray will remove ink from leather. Use a cotton bud to dip into the hairspray and then draw over the pen mark.

    Happy New Year everyone! :j :j :j
