Posting charity and petition requests

As a regular MSE user i appreciate that the objective here is to save money, so spam and other interuptions are not tolerated.

However, can i ask the moderators is it possible to have a section where MSE users can have the opportunity to give their support to charity and petitions if they wish to.
I posted a request last night for peolpe to sign the petition for 'the child 'witches' of Nigeria' a horrifying documentry shown on dispatches last week of child torture - aiming for just 10,000 signatures.
I realise i posted in the wrong place(grabbit....) but when you are highlighted to such horrors it puts moneysaving in perspective.

I know Martin and team have supported Tsunami etc, but this is for non-monetry changes that is really within our communities grasp.
How much ?????????!!!
