They also do Wilkos, and what a waste of time it was. Nveer got any jobs locally, all were 30 miles away and had to pay for meals/drinks msyelf as it was a pub and a restaraunt. Also had to pay for fuel.

I've done a couple of "jobs" for them and had no problems.....although took over three weeks to get the money! :rolleyes:

Actually you don't get the money back for your purchase unless you take your item back to the shop after you've input the data from the receipt. I do the odd mystery shop for House of Fraser restaurants(same company doing research) and you have to accept that it's part of a normal shopping trip. Minimum spend is usually a tenner so you make a fiver profit. You also don't get travel expenses.

If you want to do this as a 'proper'job then suggest you join the NOP mystery shoppers - I think theres a site link around somewhere - don't do it anymore as too busy, but they pay your tax and NI, travel expenses and refund purchases as well

Perhaps it depends on what area of the country your in. I didnt do it because £10 for travelling 30 miles and paying for drink and meals is not my style, I dont drink and never eat out, and even if I did I dont want paying peanuts for work.

I signed up for this about 7 months ago(the last time it came on the board) and have never had an invite. Even if you go on the website and are willing to travel the country there is still never anything, so don't hold your breath if you do decide to sign up.

I signed up last month (with Counterintelligence..but not Matalan) and had booked two assignments within a week at different stores, was paid within 2 to 3 weeks as well.

Both stores were in the town I work, so I was there anyway, the first I bought something for £1.99, but was "paid" £10.00.

The second time my friend bought an Xmas pressie for £10.00, and gave me the receipt, I just watched while the transaction was taking place and broused the store etc........another £10.00 richer!
