viewing videos on yahoo

just wondering why
when im in yahoo and it say click here to see news clip vidio,,
1st i get the adverts (which pay for the site) these play perfectly.
then we get the clip be it news or film clip
it take for ever to load, then buffers every few seconds so a 2min clip takes 5/15 mins to watch
any idea why???

dont know how id do that!!
this is on the home page of yahoo,,
often they have links to news storys
your supposed to press the link and off it goes
exceptmine never do

Just tried mine now with no problems
Im assuming your internets not being 'sapped' by downloading or suchlike at the same time?
The site is clearly 'flash' based
Perhaps download the latest flash?

If that doesnt work then perhaps try a different browser? Firefox for example

been away with baby!!!!!
tried to down load flash player
told me to close firefox,
did that and just kept telling me to close firefox??

download it again
double click to install
shut firefox down completely (Was the DOWNLOAD box still up?)
install
if that doesnt work then reboot
double click the SAVED downloaded flash file and install

plays for 5 sec pauses for 3 then plays again
could the lag also
be caused by my internet connection??
i have broadband but it is clearwire which works like a mobile phone
no telephone/dsl line to the house

I would guess it is yes. Yahoos vids tend to be fairly good quality, thus use quite a bit of bandwidth (Compared to say YOUTUBE)
So its looking like your not going to get it any better im afraid

How exactly does that 'clearwire' work? Is there a gizmo in your house that transmits the signal? or is it literally like a mobile connection? (ie ~ a mast)

theirs a modem in the house which you point in the general direction of the airial??
