hi, does anybody know of a savings vehicle, risk-free that will pay me £100 per month on £20,000.

    To get £100pm net, you would need some risk to be taken. Pensions could be used, depending on your age, although that would guarantee an income, rather than the capital.

    Where does the 16.6% come from :confused:

    By my arithmetic £100 pm = £1200 pa.

    This is 6% of the OP's £20K.

    You could have got 6% a year ago on TOISA / ISA's but not now. 5% would be the best rates available.

    Perhaps you should look at a mix of cash isa and shares isa ? for £7k now and £7k in April ?
