I am unable to open my iTunes !!!:mad:
i just a warning 'box' telling me that 'iTunes has stopped working ' - a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available' i then get another box saying something about data excution.I have tried downloading the latest version of iTunes but this too will not open !!!!
any help as always would be great !!:T

If you can make it cheaper do so. If it's not reduced, in Primark, off ebay or free I can't have it :rotfl:

A few quick ones to throw at you. Windows version, iTunes version (8 I'll guess). Amount of RAM? Amount of free Hard Disk space?0

I'm assuming Vista. Have you installed any new codec packs recently?
You could try disabling Data Execution Prevention for itunes:
Start-> Control Panel ->System & Maintenance -> System
Select Advanced System Settings -> Performance -> Settings -> Data Execution Prevention
Either 'add' itunes.exe to the list of files (preferred), or select the first checkbox (DEP for Windows files only). See if iTunes runs now.
Another option which seems to work is to remove and reinstall quicktime.0 -

thanks for the advise but when i try to 'add' iTunes.exe i get a box saying that 'file not found.check the file name and try again'.i did remove itunes from my pc (losing all my tunes as well) i have downloaded version 7. ?? (and older versions )but when i plug my ipod into my pc i get a box telling me that the library was formed using itunes 8 and will now close !!

all the music should be in C:\users\[your username]\music and when i have uninstalled itunes before, it never deleted my library.pandaonmyshoulder wrote: »hi !!

also, install itunes and disable any firewall you have running, then try opening itunes but dont forget to enable the firewall again just incase the firewall is blocking it from launching0 -
