Bugs are common in stuff like broccoli and cauliflower, especialy if it's organic - just soak in a bowl of well salted water and they will emerge (due to the salt) then rinse well to get rid of the salt and any bugs.
Someone once told me that spiders can lay their eggs in the little space between the top or bottom of a banana and the banana skin so you should slice off the top tip and bottom tip before peeling and eating the rest - don't know if this is an urban myth though!

If you're referring to my post about my mate, I'm not sure.eyelinerprincess wrote: »How'd it taste?
Crunchy, and a little bit earthy probably.
Oh you don't have to be a pirate to get the treasure

Oh - how truly awful, they must be theives, a few grapes a?
So if every single person that went into Tesco thought "a few grapes a" and they had to double the price to cover the theiving - that would be okay with you?;) Pay for them first and then let the kids have a few of your own grapes:D
Actually, it is not only the grapes! I have seen kids eating the sweeties from the pick and mix, or even mars bars and then dropping the wrapper and kicking it under the shelves.
Both my kids are allowed a drink to have on the way around Tesco - and the empty bottles are then left in the trolley and the cashier will throw them away for us after ringing them through the till.

When I was on the checkout at Sainsburys it used to make me laugh when a parent gave me a banana to weigh, after their child had eaten the insides.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:0
