Morgan Stanley/Goldfish/now Barclaycard query

When I got a Barclaycard to replace my old Morgan Stanley card I was told I would be getting 1% cashback on it.
On querying my first statement from Barclaycard, they advise me that it is 1% cashback on only the first £200 spend per month (i.e. max £2) and then 0.5% on all other spending! I can't remember seeing this written down anywhere and wondered if anyone else has. It seems a bit mean to me only giving 1% on the first £200.
Would appreciate any feedback on this.

This difference in cashback terms (i.e. 1% on £200 monthly vs £2000 yearly) was explained in the literature which was sent out at the time of the switch to Barclaycard.
It may not be a welcome change but I think it was clearly set out.
