New renters, no existing gas or electricity provider.

Hi! I'm renting for the first time, and therefore haven't had any previous gas or electricty provider. I'm finding it difficult to find price comparisions for non-existing gas or electricity users, and was wondering if anyone can help, with comparision sites that don't require to know existing providers or just generally the best providers to go for. Thanks

Have you switched the light on in your new property yet?
If so, you have a deemed contract with whichever supplier supplied that electricity to light the lightbulb. Find out who they are, probably by contacting the LA/LL.
The same goes for the first time you use some gas.
Until you know how much energy you actually will use, the comparison sites are pretty meaningless
GIGO!
Stay with whatever supplier you get given by the LL until you have an idea of consumption"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Thanks, I haven't actually moved in yet, move in next week, but trying to get everything sorted out while I can. I'll find out the providers from the LL. Many thanks.0
