Best Dell Sale Deal

For a lot of dell systems, it you append the e-value code with an a it will link to the same system with the monitor removed, for example -
abcdef-D01511 is with the monitor and abcdef-D01511a is without.
This is not a certainty for all systems and is some instances it is the letter b, the formula varies. I have noticed that on many systems you would be far better taking the monitor and selling it on as the amount of money taken off the total can be pityful!
Incidently, it is only the second part of the code that matters, the part after the dash. The first part is for tracking referers so they can get their bung, the second part describes the system ie d=dimension desktop, 01 is january, 51 is the 5150 series and the last numbers/letters are the prepared systems on the site.
Hope that helps someone and I to am looking for a better deal than there seems to be available just now. So be it!

I have several Dells - last one bought in 2003 which was obviously before they bought in the stupid call centre (India?)
I have been sent a small business sales mag (offers end 01/02) and want to buy a pc. However when I look online that has changed too and whats more the prices don't tally with the mag. e.g. Dell Dimension 3100 offer in mag is £229 (exc VAT/package), online it says £199 but when you click on it that changes to £283 (exc VAT/package.
I decided the only thing to do was phone them (phone no on mag).
Attempt - get some guy asking me how many people work for the business etc etc etc. Try ask basic question and give up cos he won't answer it but instead starts asking about my home computing needs
. Explain I just want info about difference in mag/online so I can order for a small business! He puts me through to
Attempt 2 - home financing!!!! Tell them I wanted small business sales
Try phone no. on website - no such number
Go to another page and try again - small business sales
Attempt 3 - Woman asks how many people etc. I give in and give all info. Asks for name of business and she says she can't understand me! Takes me a while to actually work out that is what she is saying so I can understand her having problems with my accent but still! Try again but apparently she can't understand what I am saying! Give up and hang up.
Is this worth it??? Anyone suggest how I can a) speak to Dell or b) find something similar for same price elsewhere. We bought all our computers from Dell and I did have a lovely customer service manager who always dealt with me. Oh those were the days
I live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -

to get it down to £229, when you get to the customising page scroll down and change the warrenty to 1-Year Collect and Return service or 90 day collect and return service (which ever option is available) which will take off some money. Also can you post the E-value code here pleasem thank you0 -
Does this seem like a good laptop deal under £600 ? or have people managed to get better ? Thanks
